Establishment Menus

The menus feature within Spec allows you to create groupings of products and recipes under a menu name. Once you assign them serving sizes and menu price, you will be able to see data such as ingredient cost percentages, profit margin, and net profit.

The establishment menus screen shows you all of the menus you have created in Spec.

Show Inactive

The "show inactive" toggle in the top right of the screen changes whether menus you have manually set to inactive will appear. Toggling this to off cleans up the options shown so you can more easily find the menu you are looking for.

Sort

To sort the menus shown, click on the "sort" button in the top right of the screen. You have the ability to sort alphabetically A-Z or Z-A, or to sort by created date.

Search

To search for a menu by name, click on the search bar at the top-middle of the screen.

Creating a Menu

To create a new menu, click on the "+ Create New Menu" button in the top right hand corner of the screen. Give the menu a name in the "menu title" field. Optionally, add a description to the menu.

Every item added to a menu has a default markup value assigned to it. You can set that value here, and change it on the individual item as needed after opening the menu. To learn more about markup, see the Menu Details article.
