A Letter To Our Friends & Colleagues In the Hospitality Industry Affected by COVID-

As the saying we’re all too used to hearing lately goes, “we are living in unprecedented times.” While often repeated, this simple phrase continues to ring true, and no one has been hit harder than our community in the hospitality industry. 

The reality we’re all living through today is hard to swallow. We hate to see the people who spend their lives serving others displaced and out of work. But we have faith that if we all work together if we all do our part, this industry and its people will rise back stronger than before.

At Spec, our mission is to improve the lives of hospitality professionals; to spend our lives and our work serving those who serve others for a living. Over the last few weeks and months, we as a team have been wracking our brains thinking what we could do to possibly help our community at a time like this. At first, it seemed rather daunting. But, the more we thought about it, the more encouraged we became. We believe that although this time of social distancing will be tough, tougher on some more than others, we don’t let it define our future.

Over the next few weeks and months…Hell, as long as we’re all banished to our respective corners of the world, Spec will be publishing content that is meant to clarify confusion, create community, and empower the people of the service industry to thrive throughout this crisis.

We’re going to be publishing information to keep you up to date, resources to help you get the assistance you need during this time, and sharing stories that we hope will inspire you and keep your passion for creating cocktails alive for the season ahead.
